Graviola Extract and Herb Capsules from the Amazon RainforestGraviola extract is available in liquid or tincture-enhanced herb capsules from this Independent Amazon Herbs Company distributor. Graviola extract (Annona Muricata) has a long history of use by Indigenous people of the Amazon River Basin where all parts of the graviola tree (bark, leaves, fruits, roots and seeds) are used for a variety of ailments. For instance, graviola extract, consumed orally or applied to the skin, is believed to alleviate muscle and joint pain. The fruit and seeds are believed to promote intestinal health and the elimination of intestinal parasites. Graviola herb tea, made from the leaves, bark and root is believed to work as a sedative and help maintain healthy glucose levels. Recent studies have validated its reputation as a calming and mood elevating herb which may help lower blood pressure. In addition, the fruit contains a serotonin uptake inhibitor involved in the experience of joy. Aside from the plant's medicinal properties, the fruit is eaten regularly throughout much of South America as a refreshing, delicious treat and is believed to increase lactation in women.
The main cause for interest in studying Graviola herb, however, is for its cytotoxic properties in laboratory experiments (the ability to destroy cells which may not be functioning properly). Graviola extract herb has been found to contain more than 34 cytotoxic compounds. Graviola herb has not been FDA approved for the treatment of any condition, however, so it is marketed for its immune-support benefits. Graviola is available in both capsule and liquid extract. Processing Method: The liquid tinctures are prepared according to the time-consuming Spagyric Method which involves crushing and soaking the wild-harvested raw herbs in a bath of pure grain alcohol and water for 3-4 weeks. This "bath" breaks the fiberous cell walls and releases the vital elements so that they are more bioavailable. So the tinctures are, in effect, a "predigested product" that gets absorbed quickly. After the oils and liquids are extracted, the remaining pulp is fired to become ash (which alkalinaizes the body and is rich in minerals). The liquids, oils and ash are then recombined. None of the leaf or stem is discarded. For the capsule product, more raw herb is crushed, sprayed with the tincture and then allowed to dry before encapsulating. Formulas containing Graviola: In addition to Graviola herb extract, we also distribute a proprietary blend, marketed under the Amazon Herb Company's trademarked name, Gravizon. This formula contains graviola herb (45%) along with cats claw, pau d'arco, and 28 other ingredients which support immune function and cellular detoxification.
Summary Suggested Amounts: 1 teaspoon of liquid 1 to 3 times per day or 3-5 capsules taken 1 to 3 times daily. Common Names: Graviola is known by other names throughout South America including soursop, Brazilian paw paw, guanavana, corossolier, toge-banreisi, and others.
